The Vancale is an elegant shawl in silk or cashmere woven manually and exclusively on ancient looms by the master weavers of the Vancali workshop in Tiriolo . It is embellished with long silk fringes knotted strictly by hand.

This exceptional silk and gold shawl requires up to 3 months of work to be made, and we are the only ones in the world to produce it, this is because ours is a weaving technique from 2500 years ago and known only in the area of ​​Tiriolo in Calabria .

For this reason, in the package, you will find a certificate of authenticity which will report: date of weaving, garment number, type of yarn and weaver’s reference code as well as the certification of authenticity of the gold thread.

We use Piana Clerico 1582 thread which represents the maximum textile expression of comfort and preciousness. Optimized for combining with noble fibres, it maintains characteristics of great softness despite containing significant quantities of 24-carat gold.
